Ronny D. Knopp

Ronny Delane Knopp, 78 of Prosperity, SC passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital, Newberry, SC. He was born November 5, 1939 in West Virginia, a son of the late Gilbert and Edna Nesselrotte Knopp. He was a US Navy Veteran and retired from Monsanto with over 40 years of service. Ronny was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joella Milam Knopp; a son, Dennis Delane Knopp of Leon; a daughter, Sandra (Merrel) Hopper of Leon; sisters Carolyn Stalnaker of Cross Lanes and Shirley Short of Spencer. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Waybright Funeral Home. Burial with Military Rites provided by The Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Roane County. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
