Roscoe E. Hazelwood

Roscoe Eugene Hazelwood, 48 of Ripley, passed away June 24, 2023 at his home following a sudden illness.

He was born April 25, 1975 in Charleston, son of Edna Marie Thomas Powell and the late Roscoe E. Hazelwood Sr. He was a Christian by faith and loved spending time with family. Roscoe enjoyed going to auctions, working on RC Cars and Electronics and just tinkering and fixing many different items he collected. He was a mechanic by trade and his family considered him a Jack of all trades and he could always figure out how to fix things so they would work.

In addition to his mother, Edna Marie Powell, he is survived by brothers Ronnie (Norma Truluck-Thomas) Thomas, Glenn Smith; sister Angel (Brad) Anderson; children Olivia Hazelwood, Katie Hazelwood and Ryan White; nieces and nephews, Maygan Nicole Thomas, AlishaThomas, Brooklyn Anderson, Chase Stanley and Ronnie Thomas Jr. He is also survived by special great nieces, Sophia Jade Wilkinson and Karleigh Rose Wilkinson.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday June 30, 2023 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Glenn Smith and Brad Chittenden officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomas-Milam Cemetery, Kenna. Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am until time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
