Roy "Bud" Pfost

Roy A. “Bud” Pfost, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 following a long illness. He was born October 3, 1930 in Goldtown, WV., son of the Roy and Hazel Rollins Pfost. He is survived by Linda Waybright, the love of his life; sister Sharon (Dick) Rader of Katy, Texas along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Pfost; sisters Lillian Clendenin and Alcia Cummings. “Bud” was a graduate of Ripley High School with the Class of 1947. He served four years in the United States Air Force. He worked for Columbia Gas of Charleston and Union Carbide until his retirement. He was an avid sportsman and loved to dance, especially with Linda. Anyone who knew Bud knew he was the best friend anyone could ever have. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
