Russell "Rusty" Brotherton Jr.

Russell “Rusty” Brotherton Jr., 71, of Dunbar, formerly Given, WV passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Jackson General Hospital.

Rusty was born August 18, 1952 in Framingham, MA. He was the son of the late Russell Sr. and Jeanne (Gaffney) Brotherton.

Rusty and his family moved to Dunbar, WV when he was 15. He graduated from Dunbar High School in 1970. He was a member of the WV Air National Guard from 1970 to 2009.

In addition to his parents Rusty was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Boothe.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Lori Fisher and her husband Austin and their children Brady, Carson and Connor of Given, WV; his son Travis Brotherton and his wife Michele and their children Tatum and Maverick of Given. Rusty is also survived by his partner Amy Raines and her daughter Stephanie Curry of Dunbar.
