Ruth Ann Cobb

Ruth Ann Cobb, 86, of Sissonville passed away, Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

She was born April 30, 1938 at Sissonville, WV a daughter of the late Lud and Dora (Edens) Tate. Ruth Ann loved being outside and taking care of everything in the yard. She also enjoyed going for walks with her husband as well as her sisters. She was a faithful member of the Walker Chapel Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband James Melvin Cobb; children Michael Cobb (Nikki), Penny Hicks (Charles), Barbara Johnson (Kevin), Carla Harmon (Edward); grandchildren Jeremy, Josh, Michael, Charles, Jacob, Dawn, Tracy, Ali Rae, Tony, Kallie, Gracie and Michael “Bubby.” She is also survived by many great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren who she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents Ruth Ann was preceded in death by siblings Robert Tate, John Tate, Daniel “Boone” Tate, Ruby Taylor, Josephine McMillan, Mary Taylor, Lou Haynes and Marie Taylor. She was also preceded in death by grandchildren Carrie Harper and Jamie Harmon.
