Ruth Hamon

Ruth Knotts Hamon, 93, of Ripley WV, was lifted up by angels on June 30th of 2016 after a long blissful life. She was born on July 15th of 1922. Among her being a wonderful mother and grandmother, she was the oldest member of the Eastern Star of Cottageville of 64 years, former Fairplain Homemaker and a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She was preceded by her husband Starling Hamon. Parents: Audra and Elza Knotts and brothers: Alton and Lee Wolfe. Survived by daughter Elizabeth "Lorrie" (Rusty) Vannoy of WV. Stepdaughters: Trulah Castaneda of FL, Sidney (Dennis) Fankhouser of GA and Shelly (Larry) Hamon of NC. She had many loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held on July 5th at Fairview Church in Given WV. In lieu of flowers we ask you to make a random act of kindness. She was a giving person and loved to make people happy.
