Ruth Ann Henthorn

Ruth Ann Henthorn, 85, of Ripley passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston.

Ruth was born May 4, 1941 in Tyler County a daughter of the late Fenton and Opal (Rice) Myers.

Ruth was dedicated employee of Drs. Lane and Myers Dental in Ripley with over 20 plus years of service. She was also active with the Ripley Senior Center. Most importantly, Ruth was a woman of faith and attended Ripley Church of the Nazarene and more recently attended the Parchment Valley Baptist Church.

Ruth is survived by her children Ray Eugene Henthorn (Cindy), Charles David Henthorn and Patricia Gay Henthorn; brother Chuck Rice (Diane); grandchildren Michael Henthorn (Stacey), Jennifer Cox (Josh), James Henthorn (Amanda), Jessica Ann Henthorn and Katie Henthorn; great-grandchildren Cami Borton (Ora), Kaylee, Autumn, Connor, Vivienne, Randy, Alex, Riley, Katie Isaacs and Danny Cox; nieces and nephews Kristina Rice (Brian Everhart), Charlie Rice (Danielle) and Steve Yanda; great-nieces Olivia, Isabella, MacKenzie and Amanda.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by a son, Edward Lee Henthorn; brother, Lee Myers; sister Loretta Yanda (Steve); grandson Randy Henthorn and niece Michelle Yanda.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 5th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Jerry Dooley officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
