In Loving Memory of Ruth Ellen Nickoles
On September 26, 2025, Ruth Ellen Nickoles went home to be with the Lord. While we grieve her absence, we rejoice knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
Ruth had a deep love for her family and cherished the time spent with them. When she was well, she especially enjoyed going to yard sales and collecting little treasures that brought her joy.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Nickoles; her mother, Reverend Estill Taylor; and her father, Reverend William Taylor.
Ruth is survived by her loving children: Mary Myers (spouse Glen Myers), Joann Keener, Donna Ballard (husband Paul Ballard), Terry Boyd, Jerry Hodge (spouse Francis). She was a proud grandmother to: April Hunt, Allen Myers (affectionately known as “Skeeter”), John Hodge, Stephanie Mayo, Trisha-Kay, Alex Ballard and Andrew Ballard
She is also survived by many great-grandchildren who will carry her memory in their hearts.
Ruth’s legacy of faith, family, and warmth will live on through all who knew and loved her.
