Samuel "Rudy" Anderson

Samuel "Rudy Anderson, 68 of Princeton, formerly of Ripley passed away Sunday, February 24, 2013 at his home following a short illness. Rudy was born October 31, 1944 at Fairplain, WV a son of the late Omer Rudy and Faith Pauline Staats Anderson. He was a member of the graduating Class of 1962 at Ripley High School, an Army Veteran, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Princeton and worked in sales in the Coal Industry. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Marsha Conwell Anderson; sons Vaughn Anderson and his wife Tonia of Statts Mill and Jason Anderson and his wife Alisha of Daniels; brother Bob (Patsy) Anderson of Ripley; sisters Betty Hutton of Murraysville, Janice ("Pete") Peterson of Fairplain, Helen "Cookie" Hall of Ripley and Sandra (Lee) Reed of Fairplain; grandchildren Richie (Carlene) Anderson, Nathan (Amanda) Anderson, Jordan Anderson, Jacob Anderson and Abigail Anderson; great grandchildren Mason Anderson and Cameron Taylor; sister-in-law Barbara Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Nathan Anderson; a brother Donald "Mutt" Anderson and brothers-in-law Bob Hutton and Mike Hall. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Scott Sears officiating. Burial will be in the Casto Cemetery, Fairplain. Friends may call from 11 am until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Princeton.
