Sandra Asbury

Sandra Kay "Nanny" Asbury, 49, of Ripley, passed away Tuesday morning, May 13, 2014 at CAMC Memorial following a sudden illness. Sandra was born March 26, 1965 in Sissonville, daughter of Roy and Dessie Phillips Asbury. She enjoyed going to school and church, was a graduate of Ripley High School and attended Grace Gospel Church. She also enjoyed her baseball cards and playing soccer. Survivors include, in addition to her parents: Brothers, Kenneth Asbury (Cindy), Frank Asbury (Lucinda), Jeffrey Asbury (Buffie), Gary Asbury and Roy Lee Asbury (Teresa); Sisters, Karen Stinson (Jackie), Sheila Asbury; Several nieces and nephews. Sandra was preceded in death by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. A service celebrating the life of Sandra Asbury will be Friday, May 16, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Waybright Funeeral Home with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Entombment will follow the service at the Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
