Sandra Sue Lawrentz

Sandra Sue (Rhodes) Lawrentz, 80, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at her home following an extended illness.

Sandy was born August 20, 1944 at Gay, WV a daughter of the late Oshel and Eunice (Kelley) Rhodes. Sandy worked for many years in the banking industry as a teller. She enjoyed her cookbooks and baking and cooking all the different kinds of recipes that she would find in them. Sandy also dearly loved all of her kitty cats.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, James Michael Lawrentz; son Michael Lawrentz; sisters Janet King and Joan Halbert; grandchildren Torri Johnson (Brian) and Kelby Lawrentz and great-grandchildren Carter and Caleb Johnson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Sandy was preceded in death by a son, James Basil Lawrentz; brothers Jaerl and Carroll Rhodes and infant twin sisters Norma and Nola Rhodes.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 5th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
