Sandra J. Ray

Sandra “Sandy” Jean Ray, 70 of Goldtown, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston following a short illness.

She was born February 6, 1954 in Charleston, daughter of the late Amos C. and Effie Harper White. She worked in Administration at McJunkin Corporation with over 50 years of service. Sandy enjoyed camping especially with her grandson and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, James “Buddy” Ray Jr., son Larry Joe Ray; sister Brenda Cochran; brother, Mike (Darlene) White; grandson Zach (Maggie) Ray; great grandchildren, Wesson, Axton and Payson Ray and two children whom she considered her grandchildren, Briggs and Arianna Patterson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A memorial graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Ashby Family Cemetery, Kenna with Pastor David Spencer officiating.
