Sarah Belle Ashby

Sarah Belle Ashby, 78, of Ripley passed away April 8, 2016 at Cedar Ridge Center following a long illness. She was born September 20, 1937 in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Holly and Leatha Lanham Ashby. She served in the United States Marines and later was employed as a Secretary. She is survived by a brother, Alvin Ashby of Sissonville and sister Vandy Myers of Buckhannon. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded by sisters Eula Jean Ray and Naomi June Wickline. Sarah's request to be cremated is being honored. There will be a graveside Memorial Service at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Thomas-Milam Cemetery, Kenna. Waybright Funeral Home is serving the family.
