Seilah Andrea Stanley “Sissy Sue” gained her Heavenly crown on Monday, June 24, 2024 in Charleston, WV at the age of 2.
Seilah is survived by her parents, Logan and Angela Stanley of Kenna, WV; brothers, Josiah and Israel; special sister, Veronica; grandparents Rebecca Stanley and Justin Snider, Sampson Stanley and Lazaro & Bunnie Marquez; uncles and aunts, Quentin Griffin, Mason Snider, Sampson Stanley Jr. (Logann Hodges), Chase Stanley, Lazaro Marquez Jr. (Kaylie Cordeiro), Michael Taylor and Marcus Smith. Seilah is also survived by great-grandparents; great aunts and uncles and an army of cousins.
Seilah was such a light in our family’s life with her sour patch kid personality. She loved frogs, princess dresses, dogs and boo-boos (band-aids). She loved watching Dora the Explorer, Peppa Pig, Bluey and the movies Encanto and Coco. Seilah loved being outdoors and following and bossing around her big brothers. Seilah would always stop to pack a purse with all sorts of trinkets before leaving the house and she always made sure to grab a baby for the ride. As an organ donor, Seilah Sue proved that even the shortest of lives can be the most meaningful ones.
A celebration of Seilah’s beautiful life is scheduled for 5 p.m Sunday, June 30th at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley with Carl Casto officiating. A time of visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. The family requests that those attending where pink and purple, which were Seilah’s favorite colors. A reception will follow at Victory Church, 3134 Charleston Rd., Ripley, WV 25271. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sissy Sue’s life.
The family would like to acknowledge the staff that cared so wonderfully for Seilah in the PICU at CAMC Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Mays and nurses Kelsey and Lucas.
