Sharlyn Mae Raines

Sharlyn Mae Sayre Raines, 75, of Ripley passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She was born May 20, 1946 in Ripley, WV a daughter of the late Joe Wesley “Bud” and Mae Parks Sayre. She worked for Georgia (Louisiana) Pacific making windows and was a proud member of the Ohio Carpenters Union. She loved spending time with her family, gardening and working on houses with her husband, Everett Sharlyn is survived by her daughter Donna Stanley-Stoffel of Millwood; Grandson Michael C. Morrow (Holli) of Ripley; stepchildren Dorothy Rhodes (Basil) of Bluffton, IN, Nora Casto (John) of Portland, OH, Jim Raines (Joan) of Seville, OH and Anne Casto (Gene) of Portland, OH; brother Donald Sayre (Faye) of Ohatchee, AL; great grandson Michael E. Morrow. She is also survived by many more grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Sharlyn was preceded in death by her husband Everett O. Raines; sisters Maxine McVay and Mary Coon; brother Bob Sayre; grandson Basil Rhodes Jr.; son-in-law Roger Stoffel and stepson Donald Raines. A private family graveside service will be held at the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley to celebrate Sharlyn’s life.
