Sharon L. West, 63, of Ripley, passed away Sunday morning, March 2, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital following a long battle with a series of medical complications. She was born January 4, 1951 at Glen Easton (Moundsville) WV, daughter of the late Randal and Melba Rine Burkhart. She was a Christian and a member of the Hopewell Church of Christ, Washington. Sharon is survived by her husband, Bill West, three children, two grandchildren and 11 siblings. A service celebrating the life of Sharon West will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Salem Church of Christ, Moundsville, with Minister Randy Baker officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will host a visitation at the church beginning at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, on Wednesday evening from 4-7 p.m. with a brief service of remembrance beginning at 7 p.m. with Minister Baker officiating.
