Stephen Allen Gandee

Stephen Allen Gandee, 76, of Ripley passed away Monday, August 25, 2026 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg.

Steve was born June 20, 1950, at Parkersburg a son of the late Foley and Betty (Weekley) Gandee.

Steve proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He would go on to retire from Laborers Union Local 1085 in Parkersburg. Steve was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching WVU football. Most of all he enjoyed attending all the events his grandchildren were involved in as well as spending time with family.

Steve is survived by his children, Chad Gandee (Chelsea) and Cassandra Watson; brothers Rick Gandee, Dave Gandee and Tom Gandee; sisters Connie Kay and Cheryl Sandy; grandchildren Bryce Gandee, Booth Gandee, Macy Kaiser, Kaiden Kaiser and Jasper Watson and great-grandchildren Lilah Sargent and Bella Kaiser.

In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his wife Georganne Gandee; brothers Bill Gandee and Danny Gandee and a sister, Deborah Stover.

In honoring Steve’s wishes he will be cremated with burial of cremains in Independence Cemetery at a later date.
