Stephen Stover

Stephen Wallace Stover went to be with the Lord on December 27th, 2024. He was born on April 11, 1944, to the late Wallace and

Lorene Stover.

In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by a brother; Charles Stover.

He is survived by his beloved wife Linda Stover; daughters Courtney (Andrew) Jenkins, and Ashley (Eric) Engle; grandchildren Emma Grace Jenkins, Sophie Rose Jenkins, Eli Grant Jenkins, Stella Reese Jenkins, Eden Brooke Engle, Skylar Claire Engle, and Mia Elizabeth Engle; brothers Robert Stover and James Stover; sisters Sandra Bailey, Patty Smith, Darlene (Dottie) Landis and Cathy Rodes; many nieces and nephews, and his friends.

Stephen, “Zip”, as he was known as to many of his friends, will be remembered for his love of any type of sport; however, golf, baseball, football, and racing were his favorites. In recent years he had even become a soccer fan. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and granddog, Ray Ray, and took every opportunity he could to support his grandchildren by attending their sporting events.

The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Monday, December 30, 2024 at Waybright Funeral Home in Ripley, with visitation held from 1:00 until 3:00. Burial will be at Grasslick Cemetery, Given, WV. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.waybrightfuneralhome.com
