Steven Wade White, 58, of Kenna entered into eternal peace with his Savior Jesus Christ on July 12 after a courageous battle with cancer. Steven passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. His family loved and adored him.
He is preceeded in death by his loving grandmother, Sybil Davis and grandparents, Cecil and Violet White.
He loved being outside working around the house and helping family with projects. He could fix anything just by looking at it. He loved playing card games with his parents and brothers. Steven enjoyed playing Catan with his family. He always managed to win, even with 2s and 12s. He enjoyed watching WVU football and basketball games with his son, Andrew. They also enjoyed kayaking, fishing, and camping together.
Steven was married to the love of his life, Joyce, for 35 years. Together, they have two children, Andrew White and Erica Hanna who were the center of their lives. They have two grandchildren who Steve always referred to as "Papaw's babies" Joel and Elliott Hanna of Sissonville. Steven prioritized his family over everything else. He was a confidant, a friend, and a constant in all of our lives. Left on Earth to cherish his memories are his loving family - wife, Joyce Fisher White, parents, Robert and Judith White, children and in laws, Andrew and Kayla White and Erica and Josh Hanna, honorary daughter, Payton Miller, grandkids Joel and Elliott Hanna. His loving brothers and their wives, Robert and Sonya White and Christopher and Dawn White. Very close friend, Craig Vickers. In laws who loved him like their own, Dale and Linda Fisher, Lisa Pomeroy, and Mikey Fisher. Many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly, Wil (Rachelle) White, Rachel (Nate) Scull, Sarah (Jacob) Bonar, Emma, Brayden, and Kevin White, Robert Pomery, Kayden and Kinzie Fisher, and Kevin Cochran. Great nieces and nephews Lizzie, Ellie, Bonnie, and Hannah. He will be missed and loved beyond words. His family finds peace in knowing they will see him again.
