Steven Craig Williams

Steven Craig Williams, 53 of Gay, Jackson County, went home to be with the Lord from his earthly home suddenly on February 12, 2017. He was born August 22, 1963 in Ripley, a son of Cora Randolph Williams of Ripley and the late Charles Williams. He was a 1981 graduate of Ripley High School. Following high school he joined the US Army and was a former member of the 812th Ordinance where he served for 12 years. He was a Christian and loved sharing scripture daily with his friends. He was a member of the Aplin Church. Steve loved taking pictures and had his own Photography Business, Will Photo You Photography. He loved watching the Reds, Mountaineers and the Bengals but most of all he loved playing basketball with his grandson. In addition to his mother, Cora Williams, he is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cindy Winters Williams; his two sons, Steven Seth Williams and Joshua Cory Williams and daughter-in-law Brooke; and one grandson, John “Dawson” Williams; sister Carol (Chris) Hall; nephews Dylan and Nathan and niece McKennan; grandmother, Ruby Williams and mother and father-in-law, John “Lawson” and Mae Winters. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents Denvil and Mildred Randolph and Cecil Williams. Funeral Service will be 1:30 pm Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Burial with Military Rites by the Jackson County Honor Guard will be in the Aplin Cemetery, Gay. Friends may call from 11:30 am until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
