Sue Crihfield

Sue Crihfield, 77, of Ripley passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley. She was born March 22, 1944 at Plum Orchard, WV a daughter of the late Glen Franklin and Genevieve Jones Chancey. Sue was member of the Goodell Baptist, Mount Calvary Baptist and the Ripley Tabernacle Baptist Church. Sue worke hard all her life. She raised her family and enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers. She was a friend to everyone and would help anyone in need. She loved church and worked a lot cleaning the churches she worshiped at. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife and sister. Sue was a great listener to all who had a problem that needed worked out. She will be missed to all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Clarence Crihfield; daughter Lisa Mckinstry of Ripley; grandchildren Ashley Crihfield Gullett of Michigan and Patrick McKinstry; great grandchildren Aubrey and Logan Gulllett of Michigan; sisters Ruth Ann Marks (Bill) of Sandyville and Barbara Kay Skeen of Evans. Sue is also survived by nieces and nephews Laurie Ann Casto, Jason Young and Brad Southall. In addition to her parents Sue was preceded in death by a son, Michael Crihfield and a grandson, Jeremy Crihfield. A funeral service to celebrate Sue’s life will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 17th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
