Marlin “Sue” Fields, 83, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at her home.
Sue was born June 4, 1940 at Ripley, WV a daughter of the late Okey J. and Mildred (Kay) Cunningham. Sue was a 1958 graduate of Ripley High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting and crafting as well as working in her garden, canning and cooking.
Sue is survived by her children Jeff Fields (Tonya) and Annetta Fields (Cam); brothers Dave, Joe, Jerry, Terry and Timmy Cunningham; sister Kay Greathouse; grandchildren Shawn Fields, Ricky “Chipper” Fields (Stacy), Hailey Jackson (Richard), Casey Camp (Brad), Sommer Fields, Shane Fields (Ali) and Abigail Hildreth and great-grandchildren Carter Thacker, Sawyer Thacker, Skyler Thacker, Wylder Jackson, Kamero Jackson, Kooper Jackson, Zayha Jackson, Sadie Fields, Ryder Fields, Rhett Fields, Gavin Camp, Addie Camp, Kinley Fields, and Baby Fields on the way.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Filbert Fields; sons Ricky and Mike Fields; brothers Daniel, John and Sonny Cunningham and sisters Betty Parsons and Mary Keefer.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 20th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
