Sue Brannon Flesher passed away December 14, 2015 in Sacramento, California following a long illness. She was born November 16, 1933 in Spencer, WV, a daughter of the late Richard and Blondena Boggess Brannon. Sue was a member of the Class of 1951 at Washington-Irving High School in Clarksburg where she became very proficient in speaking French and attended Marshall University. Sue lived and traveled to many interesting places and her home reflected all the treasures she collected from her many life adventures. She loved sharing her home with friends and family along with her pets whom she loved very much. She had a true concern for people as a trip to the local stores could take hours as she had to catch up on what all was happening in the life of the store clerks whom she was on a first name basis. She also took this approach when visiting doctors. Sue was one of the original founders and loyal members of the POW wives organization that was instrumental in bringing pressure to bear not only on our government but also the North Vietnamese government to ease POW conditions in North Vietnam. The memory of her quick wit and smiling face will stay with her family and friends forever. Sue is survived by two sisters Ann B. Pushkin and her husband Martin of Morgantown and Nancy Jo Plescia of Sacramento, CA; nephew Dr. Richard Pushkin of Chapel Hill, NC; niece Katherine Pushkin of Bruceton Mills, WV and nephew Joe Plescia, Jr and his wife Donna of Sacramento, CA three great nieces, Jennifer Plescia of Sacramento, Michelle Harris of Stockton, CA and Marie Davis of San Diego, CA.
