Franklin “Ted” Stover, 89 of Ripley, passed away September 4, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
Ted was born August 22, 1933 in Raleigh County, a son of the late Robert and Mary Southard Stover. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Ravenswood Aluminum. He loved being a father and grandfather and being with family. He enjoyed sports and in his younger days played American Legion Baseball. He loved fishing and hunting and was an avid WVU fan.
He is survived by his wife and love of his life of 65 years, Mary Jane (Hendricks) Stover; daughters, Susan Lynn (Larry) Sayre, Kelly Jo Stover and Christy Stover; grandchildren Ashley Scritchfield, Erica Howery and Kaitlen Perry; great grandchildren Zoey Matthews, Carter Howery and Amara Robison.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Benny Stover, Roger Stover, Earl Stover and Paul Stover and sister Bonnie Burdette;
Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Thursday at the Funeral Home.
