Terry Jan Workman, 70, of Kenna passed away March 28th, 2025. He was born February 6th, 1955 in Boone County, West Virginia to Delmar “Jiggs” and Kathleen “Kat” Workman.
Terry loved playing the guitar and will be remembered for the great joy he found in spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He started off working the coal mines before transitioning to be a representative for the United Mine Workers’ Association. Terry spent the last few years of his career teaching mine safety for the Office of Miner’s Health Safety and Training.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law Janet and Larry Joe Baldwin, his niece Christa (Baldwin) Pettry, and best friend and brother-at-heart Larry Eads.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years Sherry (Lynch) Workman, his 5 children Chadwick (Melissa) Workman, Tara (Brad) Williams, Carrie (Shaun) Myers, Jamie (Roger) Fultz, and Nichole (Thomas) Counts. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Rowan, Liam, Michael, Cooper and Parker (Workman), MaKayla, Logan, Gavin, Christopher, Quentin (Hoffman / Williams), Shaun, Makenzie (Myers), Jacob (Brianna), Cheyenne (Levi), Danielle, Annabell, Andrew, Colten (Fultz / Clark), TJ, Lacey, Gage (Counts), 1 great-granddaughter Ellie Fultz, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, April 7th at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
