Thomas Ray Marlow, 61 of Ripley passed away August 12, 2015 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Tom was born May 6, 1954 in Parkersburg a son of Janice Campbell Marlow Brannon of Parkersburg and the late Leonard Ray Marlow. He was a graduate of Parkersburg High School with the class of 1973. He was a former member of the Parkersburg Fire Department. He worked as a D.O.T Officer with the Public Service commission. Tom was very active in his community and announced Ripley Soccer Gams along with Ripley Midget League Football Games. He was involved with 4-H and Explorer Scouts and was the owner of Music Masters D.J. Services. Tom was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Ripley. Tom is survived by his wife of 28 years, Kathy Coen Marlow; his daughter Molly Veith; his mother Janice Brannon; sister Wilma Urquhart and her husband Bruce of Port Orchid, Washington; step sister Barbara Eddy of Parkersburg; step brother Rick Brannon of Parkersburg. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by is step father, Ray Brannon; a sister, Carolyn Marlow and a brother-in-law, Harry Eddy. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, August 30, 2015 at the Calvary United Methodist Church, Ripley, with Pastor Charles Hicks officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 pm until the time of the service on Sunday, August 30, at the church. An additional Memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Cedar Grove United Methodist Church, Parkersburg with Pastor Beth Peters officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 5 pm at the Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations in memory of Tom be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church, 205 Court St., Ripley, WV 25271. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley is serving the family.
