Todd Gillespie

Robert Todd Gillespie, 55 of Cottageville, passed away September 12, 2023.

Todd was born August 31, 1968 in Charleston, son of Carolyn Sue Wells Starcher and the late William Gillespie. Todd served his country in the US Navy. He worked as a Long Haul Trucker and also worked in the Oil Fields. He was known for his excellent marksmanship.

In addition to his mother, Sue Starcher, he is survived by his son, Seth Runnion-Gillespie; his brother Paul Gillespie and nephews Tyler, Nathaniel and Colton Gillespie.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his step-father, Denzil Starcher.

In honoring Todd’s wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Kelly Mellen officiating. Military Rites will be rendered by the Jackson County Honor Guard.  A time of visitation with the family will be from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
