Vernese Kay Good

Vernese Kay Good, 68 of Sissonville, passed away August 1, 2022 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, following a long illness. She was born November 18, 1953 in Charleston, daughter of the late Lawrence and Vernese Newhouse Burdette. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, swimming and going to the beach but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her children Angie (Erik) Hall and Jimmy (Avlee) Good; siblings Debbie Burdette and Kelli (Charlie) Slater; grandchildren, Kayla (Shayne Marks) Hall, Erika (Trae) McClellan, James Good, Chris Good, Madison Hall, Courtney Hall and Shelby Good; great grandchildren Jaylee Mairs, Raven Good, Nova Good and Haisley McClellan. She is also survived by her lifelong friend, Shelia Shevley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James “Jimmy” Good Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Friday, August 5, 2022 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Burial will be in the John Harve-Burdette Cemetery, Legg Fork, Sissonville . Friends may call on the family from 11:00 am until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
