Vikki Starr Nichols

Vikki Starr Nichols, 70 of Proctorville, OH, formerly of Evans, has gone Home to be with Jesus. Vikki passed away September 27, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Huntington. She was born November 29, 1950 at Gassaway, daughter of the late Donald and Rosalie Furr Postalwait. Vikki retired as a Supervisor with the WV DHHR with over 28 years of service. Vikki spent her life serving the Lord by giving to others because He had given her so much. She gave her time, she gave her knowledge, she gave her love… and she did it in the biggest ways she knew how. Vikki had a style matched only by her personality… bubbly, radiant, and passionate. Her very favorite thing was hosting special occasions for her loved ones. Vikki took every event and made into a grand occasion. She was “Sparkly Nana” to her three grandchildren who adored her. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim Nichols; daughter Allison Watkins and her husband Philip of Proctorville; son Jeramy Nichols and his wife Monica of Danville, VA; grandchildren Audree Rose Watkins, Thomas and Elizabeth Nichols; sister Jill Showen and her husband Steve of Chesnee, SC; nephew Kris Showen and his wife Andrea and their children Emma, Jhett, Jace, Jude and Rosalie. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 1, 2021 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Kris Showen officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
