Virginia Irene (Jenny) Westfall

Virginia Irene "Jenny" Westfall, 65, of Parkersburg, formerly of Ripley, passed away Thursday morning, January 16, 2014, at Marietta Memorial Hospital following a four month battle with cancer. She was born February 24, 1948 at Chester, WV, daughter of the late John and Mildred Miller Bowman. She resided in Ripley most of her life and was a long-term employee in the dietary department of Jackson General Hospital. Surviving: Her husband of 50 years, Robert "Bob" Westfall of Parkersburg; Daughter, Pamela Westfall of Parkersburg; Sister, Norma Westfall (Donnie) of Ripley; Brother, Charles Bowman (Sue), of Ravenswood; Aunt, Faye Walters of Ravenna, Ohio; Numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; Her Black Pomeranian, Penny Marie, whom she definitely considered a member of the family. In addition to her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Sams. A service celebrating the life of Jenny Westfall will be 2p.m. Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley, with John Gunther officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Siniaville Cemetery, Staats Mill.
