Virginia Mcvay

Virginia Isabella McVay, 91, of Leroy passed away August 20, 2015 at her home following a long illness. She was born November 30, 1923 in Ohio, a daughter of the late Dave and Dollie Speece. She was a homemaker, a farmer, worked in housekeeping at Eldercare, but most of all she took care of her family. She is survived by her son Elvis McVay(Amber Patterson) of Leroy; daughter Norma Jean McVay of Leroy; brother Tom Speece of Ravenswood; and sisters Edna Duggin of Ohio, Ruth Minear of Vienna, and Jesse Nesselrotte of Parkersburg; grandchildren Alicia McVay ("Bruiser" Randolph) of Ripley and Sarah McVay-Freeland(Joshua) of Leroy; also survived by great-grandson Aiden Jackson Freeland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Holly Woodrow McVay; brother Wilbur Speece and sister Edith Speece. Funeral Service will be Monday, August 24, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Liverpool United Methodist Church, Leroy with Pastor Bud McVay officiating.
