Virginia Frances Parsons was welcomed into Heaven on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Jackson General Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Frances was born April 18, 1926 in Kenna, WV. She was preceded in death by her parents Opha and Neniah Hill, husband, Clovis “Chubby” Parsons, brother, John Lee Hill, and her only son, Bob Parsons. Frances was married to the love of her life, Chubby, on October 22, 1947. They were married for 56 years before he passed away December 26, 2003. She told her family stories often of their time they spent together. She dearly missed him and was excited to get to Heaven to be reunited with him. What a reunion that must have been. She is survived by many loved ones: her sister and dear friend, Anna Mae Hill, daughter-in-law Linda Parsons, grandsons: Tim(Cindy) Parsons and Rick Parsons, great-grandchildren: Kayla(Andrew) Wyatt, Jacob(Michele) Parsons, Tiara(Brandon) Lewis, Regan(Jake) Martin, Destin Parsons, Jazmin Parsons, great-great grandchildren: Elijah Parsons, Wylder Wyatt, Atarah, Charley, and Brynlee Lewis, Ryker Parsons, and Easton Parsons. As well as many, many family and friends whom she adored. She was a devoted Christian. She gave her heart to the Lord as a teenager. She attended Grace Community Church in Fairplain with her family. Frances loved spending time with her family, especially her great-great grandchildren. She enjoyed when they would come to visit her. She always kept a candy dish stocked full of the kids favorite treats. She was always smiling and kept her family smiling too. Her family will always remember the funny sayings that she came up with, how fiercely independent and honest she was, what a great listener she was, and how special she made each person in her family feel. Frances was her happiest when her family and friends were surrounding her, so it only makes perfect sense that God would take her to her Home in Heaven surrounded by her loved ones. She will surely be missed here on Earth, but her family is thankful that they will get to meet her in Heaven someday. A funeral service to celebrate Frances’s life will be held 1p.m. Saturday, September 3rd at Grace Community Church in Fairplain with Frances’s grandson, Pastor Tim Parsons and great-grandson Jacob Parsons officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will follow in the Fairplain Cemetery.
