Virginia Gail Wilson

Virginia Gail Wilson, 64, of Leon passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Mountain View Care Center following a long battle of illness. Gail was born September 15, 1957 in West Hamlin, WV a daughter of the late Peggy Midkiff. In life she was a nature oriented person who enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, a love she passed onto her children. When she wasn’t outdoors she enjoyed reading, sewing, quilting and renewing antiques. She is survived by her children Matthew Cornell, Kimberly Morehead and Thomas Cornell; sisters Melinda Sue Adkins and Kathy Grooms. In addition to her mother, Gail was preceded in death by her brothers Vernon and David Adkins and a granddaughter, Catherine Cornell. A celebration of Gail’s life will take place at a later date.
