Rev. Walter Milam Reverend Walter Lee Milam, 73, of Fisher Ridge, Kenna, passed away Tuesday evening, September 4, 2012 at Hubbard House West following an extended illness. He was born May 10, 1939 at Kenna, WV, son of Denver Milam and the late Louise Sayre Milam. He owned and operated Milam Shoes for many years in the Parkersburg area and was a long-time bus driver for the Jackson County Schools. Denver was a graduate of Ripley High School and a member of the Vienna Masonic Lodge and Nemesis Temple. He was a licensed minister and attended and a former pastor of Fisher Memorial Church, Goldtown. Surviving: His wife of 53 years, Patricia Ann Milam of Kenna; Daughter, Debra Stout of Parkersburg; Brothers, Denver "Pooch" Sisson (Karen Wallen) of Ripley, Phillip Milam (Irene) of Kenna; Sisters, Edith Comer of Kenna, Beatrice Coffman of Ripley and Mary Smith (Kip) of Kenna; Grandsons, Jacob Stout (Alexis Evans) of Leesburg, VA, and Jerrod Stout of Parkersburg. Funeral service will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Greg Estep officiating. Interment will follow the service at Floral Hills memory Gardens, Sissonville. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
