Walter L. Skinner

Walt Skinner, 79, of Gay passed away February 17, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston,WV after a long illness. Walt was born on November 11, 1938 at Gay, WV He retired from Lavery Chevrolet in Alliance, OH. Walt is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Clora Pearlene Skinner and his wife, Shirley Skinner. He is survived by a son, Robert (Debbie) Skinner of Alliance, OH and a daughter, Tammy Shamblin of Millwood, WV; grandchildren, Joshua (Amanda) Skinner, Levi Shamblin, Garet (Maria) Shamblin, Kandis Shamblin, Kara Shamblin, Kelly Kirksey; great-grandchildren, Kiersten Skinner, Karah Skinner, Briar Shamblin, Kylan Carnes. The family would like to express a special thank you to Karen and Willie Stutler for the kindness, care and friendship given to our father and grandfather over the past many years. A memorial service will be held at the Parsons Cemetery, Gay at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley is serving the family.
