Wanda Marie Woods

Wanda Marie Woods, 80 of Leroy, Jackson County, passed away May 27, 2017 at Camden Clark Medical Center in Parkersburg, WV following a short illness. She was born February 12, 1937 at Cabin Creek, a daughter of the late Denver and Marvel Teets Browning. She was a homemaker and member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by a son Bradley Woods and his wife Jen of Parkersburg; daughter Amy Jordan and her husband Kevin of Pt. Pleasant; grandchildren Caleb Woods, Zachary Woods, Jenna Woods, Kassidy Jordan, Madison Shingleton and Joel Shingleton; sisters Glenda Boggess of Nitro and Judy (John) Hughes of Port Washington, OH and brothers Mitchell (Jewell) Browning of Strange Creek, WV and Larry Browning of Florida. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Darrell Woods. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Mill Creek Baptist Church, Frozen Camp with Pastor Bob Keen officiating. Burial will be in the Baptist Grove Cemetery, Frozen Camp. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley and one hour prior to the service at the church.
