Wendle Delmar Stalnaker, 87, of Aplin Ridge, WV died on March 30, 2024 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years and best friend, Ruth (Jeffries) Stalnaker. He was the son of the late Roy and Masel (Westfall) Stalnaker and was also preceded in death by brothers Burt, Denver and Junior Stalnaker. Wendle retired from Orders Construction Company and started a small business with his son, Steven. He enjoyed helping other people and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his dog, Tiny.
In addition to his wife, Ruth, Wendle is survived by brothers Edward (Edith) Stalnaker, Wayne Stalnaker and Glenver (Cindy) Stalnaker; children Elsa (Brian) Murrey, Robbie (April) Stalnaker, Doug (Nicole) Stalnaker, Rita Stalnaker, Daniel Stalnaker, Dale (Amy) Stalnaker and Steven (Sonya) Stalnaker; grandchildren Amanda (Tracy) Haid, Greg Simmons, Brian (Rylie) Stalnaker, Andrew (Cassie) Stalnaker, Chris (Jessica) Stalnaker, Travis (Lauren) Skeen, Tosha Skeen, Tyler (Kaitlyn) Skeen, Abby Stalnaker, Emily Stalnaker, Dalton Stalnaker, Daniel Stalnaker Jr., Nathaniel Stalnaker and Tia Stalnaker; Great-grandchildren Dylan Rutan, Nathan Stalnaker, Lucas Stalnaker, Remington Stalnaker, Oakley Stover, Tori and Sadie Skeen and Tia Stalnaker.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, April 4th at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cummings officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Aplin Cemetery.
