He was born July 20, 1936 in Jackson County, a son of the late Robert and Liddie Coleman Boggess. Stanton worked for five years At True Temper and was a carpenter with Boggess Brothers Construction for over 57 years. He attended the Fisher Memorial Church in Goldtown. He loved to repair Washers and Dryers but his great joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rose Mary Ray Boggess; his children, Larchie Boggess (Paul Hayes) of Marmet, Bobby Boggess and his wife Lisa of Kenna and Burnadean Meeks and her husband Chris of Sissonville; brothers Roy Boggess and Nemo Boggess both of Kenna; sisters Maggie Casto of Fairplain, Margaret Westfall and Regina Slater both of Kenna. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nathan Boggess, Chance Winnell, Alex Boggess and Brook Boggess and greatgrandchildren Riley Winnell, Luke Winnell, Kennedy “Boo” Winnell, Shawn Boggess Colt Boggess and Gabe Guerrero. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Archie Boggess, a grandson, Shawn Boggess, brothers Robert S. Boggess and Preston Boggess and a sister Roena Taylor. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Fisher Memorial Church, Goldtown with Pastor Greg Estep and Pastor Al Mendez officiating. Burial will be in the Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Friends may call from 5 to 9 pm on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the Fisher Memorial Church and one hour prior to the service at the Church.
