William Ayward Casto Jr.

William Ayward “Haney” Casto Jr, 76 of Kenna, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was born June 23, 1940 at Belgrove, a son of the late Ayward William and Georgia F. Casto. On October 10, 1958 he married Mattie A. Crihfield at Kenna. He retired from the West Virginia Division of Highways with 25 years of service and helped in the construction of Interstate Highway 77. He loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mattie A. Crihfield Casto; sons William Michael Casto and his wife Sandra of Kenna, William Mark Casto and his wife Sonja of Ripley and Matthew Ayward Casto and his wife Tara of Kenna; grandchildren Amanda Smith and her husband John, Monique Casto, William Tyler Casto and wife Brittnay, Tiffany Casto, Mercedes Casto, Savannah Casto, Braiden Davis, and Daniel Ayward Casto; great grandchildren Will Smith, Mason Taylor, McKinsey Smith, Morgan Morrow and Jonathon Smith; brothers Bobby (Dee) Casto and Billy (Kitty) Casto; sisters Ida (Charles) Thomas, Wanda Lanham, Brenda Crank, Sharon Miller-Mitchell (John Mitchell) and Linda Williams: sisters-in-law Emma Anderson, Dorothy Casto, Carolyn (Steve) Harris and Kathryn Fields; brothers-in law Larry (Trish) Crihfield, Jerry (Wanda) Crihfield and Rickey (Miki) Crihfield. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Glen A. Anderson and Roger D. Casto; brother-in-law Harold Williams, Natchie Lanham and Dale Miller and great grandson John Michael Smith. Funeral Service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Rev. Billy Casto officiating. Burial will be in the Goshen Cemetery, Kentuck.
