William "Bill" Cole

William Howard Cole, 74 years of age went home to the Lord on Friday, February 14, 2020. William “Bill” Cole son of William O. Cole and Dorthy Gorrell was born on July 17, 1945 in his family’s farm home in Jackson County. William is survived by his loving wife, Marcella (Tilly) Cole; sons Robert Cole and his wife Terry and Billy Cole and his wife Leann; grandchildren Andra Cole, Mary Cummings (Nathan), Mckennah McCown (Aaron), William Cole, Kenlee Cole; great grandchildren Justin Lawson and Devan Lawson. Bill started his first job at 8 years old running a newspaper route. He also worked at the Y Service Station, construction, and was a proud coal miner. Bill was a hard working man who loved his family and knew no limits when it came to loving, providing, and protecting his family. He was a God loving man who taught so many life lessons. He will be very missed by his family and friends. In a final act of kindness Bill graciously donated his body to the West Virginia University Human Gift Registry to help aid in medical research and advancement.
