William “Bud” Blondie Hinzman, 74 of Ripley passed away December 1, 2016 at his home following a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 6, 1942 at Ripley, son of the late Ross and Bernice Coen Hinzman. He was a loving father to two daughters, Sherry (Daniel) Coon of Parkersburg and Tammy (Mike) Southall of Sandyville; grandchildren Ross Coon, Katie Coon, Kim (Holmes) Hill, Michael Holmes and William Southall and his first great grandchild on the way. Brothers Devon Hinzman of Sandyville, Ronald “Sonny” Hinzman of Ravenswood and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local Union 5668 and retired from Ravenswood Aluminum with 28 years of service. He also worked laying phone line on gas wells and at Remington Rand. He loved vegetable gardening, old cars and making others laugh. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by loving wife Helen Marie Linger Hinzman, many brothers and sisters. He is now reunited with the love of his life whom he missed dearly, never to part again. Many thanks to Kanawha Hospice and the team of doctors, nurses and radiologists who graciously and lovingly helped care for our father, as well as the endless love and support of the family. Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Monday, December 5, 2016 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastors Enoch Pursley and David Hinzman officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Sandyville. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the Funeral Home.
