William "Bill" Skotnicki 63 of Ripley passed away August 22, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston. He is survived by his wife Pam and dog, E.J.; his mother Colleen Skotnicki; brother Bob and his wife Starr; sister Carol Areford and husband Dave; nephew Christopher and niece Ashley and her two children. He was preceded in death by his father Ed "Skotty" Skotnicki. He was born in Morgantown and graduated from Morgantown High School in 1969. He attended West Virginia University. Bill was a skilled craftsman and a Master Carpenter. He was the owner of The Woodcock LLC, building custom cabinetry and specialty furniture. Pam would like to extend gratitude to Jackson General Hospital; JGH Sports Medicine and Physical Therapy Group, Dr. William J. Casto, Hospice nurses Cathy Easter, Stacey Jarrett and Sherry Stoffel and all the wonderful nurses and staff at Hubbard Hospice House. In honoring Bill's wishes there will be no viewing. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Friends may call on the family from 10:30 until the time of the service at the funeral home. Following the service a reception will be held in the Parsons-Vail Family Center located inside the funeral home. Those wishing to provide food for the family may bring it to the funeral home for the reception.
