William "Whitey" Whited

William G. "Whitey" Whited, 76 of Ravenswood, passed away August 3, 2015 at The Arbors at Pomeroy following a long illness. He was born February 27, 1939 at Spencer, a son of the late Orville and Opal Garrett Whited Houchin. He worked for the Department of Highways, was a Boilermaker and more recently worked at the Fruth Pharmacy in Ripley. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Judy Mace Whited; sons Rick Whited, Rod (Susie)Whited. Ronnie (Lynn)Whited and Randy Whited; step sons Mark(Sabrina) Kersey and Jim Kersey; step daughter Lisa Hunt and Fudd. Also survived by 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 am Friday, August 7, 2015 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor David Fields officiating. Burial will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the funeral home.
