Woody Neff

Elwood “Woody” Neff, 79 of Ripley passed away March 27, 2024 at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, following an extended illness.

He was born June 10, 1944 in Ravenswood, WV, son of the late Elwood and Doris Neff. Woody served his country in the US Navy in Vietnam and formerly worked at Jackson General Hospital. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and guns. He enjoyed his dog but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bonnie White Neff; children, Tina Neff Cane and Beverly Jeffries. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 30, 2024 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley. Friends may call from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Following the service, Military Rites will be performed by the Jackson County Honor Guard.
